About Us
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Karen and I am the owner/operator of Turcotte Pet Chateau where we live with and our four Shetland Sheepdogs, two Rough Collies, and one Newfoundland as well as our cats. My parents also live here and were gracious enough to allow us to build our beautiful facility on their property in rural Acton This has been a dream of ours and is now finally complete as a stay at home mom it is the best of both worlds.
I have always loved pets and from the time I was born we had Newfoundlands and Collies as well as a multitude of smaller pets from cats to turtles. I have a background in boarding, training and a degree in Animal Care from Sheridan College and currently work evenings as an associate instructor at McCanns Professional Dog Trainers in Flamborough.
My dogs and I compete in dog competitions across Canada from Dog Obedience to Agility as well as some training in Flyball and Rally'O. I love the ability of working with and the companionship of my dogs and the energy they put into pleasing me and enjoying everything they do.
I believe that each pet is an individual who may have different requirements and needs and we want the community to feel comfortable boarding their pets in our upscale facility when they have to go out of town. We are dedicated to making your pets stay comfortable and fun-filled as well as healthy and safe.
